UK-FGD 2024, a collaborative event hosted by the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) and Queen Mary University of London, focusing on renewable energy and battery technologies. This event will gather leading experts, researchers, and industry professionals to discuss innovations in renewable energy sources, advancements in battery technology, integration of renewable energy into the grid, and the environmental and economic impacts of these technologies. Attendees will have the opportunity to gain insights from renowned experts, network with industry professionals and academics, and explore cutting-edge research and technological advancements.
The Presidential Decree No.55/2019 aims to accelerate the adoption of battery electric vehicles (BEV), which would reduce PM2.5 in cities and potentially reduce CO2 emissions. With 140 million highly polluting mopeds on the road, the 2030 target is that 10% of 2-wheeled (2W) vehicles become electrified, with future electrification of vehicles rolling out at an accelerated pace after that. However, the batteries for 2W EV have various different designs for cells, forms, dimensions, specification, with different charging mechanisms. This is because the regulations for 2W BEV are not yet finalised. There is no standardisation for battery packs in 2W EV in Indonesia. As a result, the infrastructure is poor, with significant variability in charging and battery swapping stations, which limits uptake.
UK-FGD 2024 is owned and produced by National Battery Research Institute.
