On June 3, 2025, the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) participated in the Human Capital Summit 2025, reaffirming its commitment to advancing talent development and workforce readiness to support Indonesia’s rapidly growing clean energy, battery, and electric vehicle (EV) industries.
The summit brought together policymakers, academic leaders, industry experts, and human capital practitioners to discuss the critical role of skilled talent in driving Indonesia’s industrial transformation, accelerating the energy transition, and fostering innovation in an increasingly digital and sustainable economy.
During the event, NBRI actively contributed to panel discussions and strategic dialogues focusing on several key priorities, including:
- Developing future-ready talent to support the battery and EV ecosystem;
- Strengthening vocational, technical, and research-based education pathways;
- Fostering collaboration among universities, training institutions, research centers, and industry players; and
- Empowering women and youth to play a greater role in science, technology, and innovation.
NBRI emphasized that human capital development is a fundamental pillar in building a competitive and sustainable battery ecosystem. The institute highlighted the importance of aligning education, research, and workforce strategies with Indonesia’s national priorities on sustainability, technological innovation, and industrial downstream development.
As part of the Road to the International Battery Summit (IBS) 2025, NBRI’s participation in the Human Capital Summit 2025 reflects its broader mission to cultivate an inclusive and future-ready talent ecosystem capable of supporting the global clean energy transition. The upcoming International Battery Summit (IBS) 2025 will continue to spotlight the critical intersections of talent, research, ESG principles, and technological innovation in shaping the future of the battery and energy industries.
