Jakarta, May 19, 2025 – The National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) attended a strategic meeting with the Deputy for Policy of Lemhannas RI (National Resilience Institute of Indonesia) to discuss the development of an international scientific proceeding aimed at strengthening strategic policy thought leadership and promoting multidisciplinary perspectives on national and global challenges.
During the meeting, NBRI also presented its preparations for the upcoming International Battery Summit (IBS) 2025, highlighting the summit’s role as a global platform for collaboration, innovation, and dialogue in the battery and clean energy sectors. The discussion emphasized the importance of cross-sector cooperation in accelerating the energy transition, creating opportunities for national institutions such as Lemhannas RI to engage in international discourse, and aligning the themes of IBS 2025 with Indonesia’s strategic priorities in national resilience, technological independence, and sustainable industrial development.
Both parties recognized that the advancement of battery technology and clean energy initiatives has become increasingly relevant to Indonesia’s long-term resilience agenda, encompassing energy security, industrial competitiveness, and the development of critical technologies. The meeting also underscored the importance of bridging scientific research, policy formulation, and institutional collaboration to address emerging global challenges and strengthen Indonesia’s strategic position in the international arena.
This engagement reflects NBRI’s commitment to building meaningful partnerships with key policy institutions and fostering an integrated approach between science, technology, and national resilience. As momentum continues to build on the Road to IBS 2025, such collaborations reinforce the summit’s mission to serve as a catalyst for knowledge exchange, strategic partnerships, and sustainable innovation in shaping the future of the global battery ecosystem.
