As part of the Road to the International Battery Summit (IBS) 2025, the National Battery Research Institute (NBRI) held a courtesy meeting with the Ambassador of Tunisia to Indonesia to explore opportunities for strengthening bilateral cooperation in the energy sector, with a particular focus on renewable energy development and battery innovation.
The meeting served as an important platform for exchanging perspectives on the global energy transition and identifying potential areas of collaboration that can contribute to sustainable economic growth and technological advancement. Discussions highlighted the increasing importance of international partnerships in accelerating the development of clean energy solutions, strengthening battery value chains, and promoting knowledge exchange between emerging economies.
Both parties also discussed opportunities to deepen Indonesia–Tunisia relations through cooperation in research, innovation, and capacity building, while exploring Tunisia’s potential role in supporting international engagement ahead of the International Battery Summit (IBS) 2025. The dialogue reflected a shared commitment to advancing sustainable energy initiatives and fostering greater collaboration among governments, research institutions, and industry stakeholders.
As the Road to IBS 2025 continues, this courtesy meeting represents another significant milestone in expanding the summit’s international outreach and strengthening diplomatic and strategic partnerships. Through initiatives such as these, IBS 2025 aims to serve as a global platform for dialogue, innovation, and cooperation, bringing together diverse stakeholders to shape the future of battery technology, renewable energy, and sustainable industrial development.
The engagement further reinforces Indonesia’s commitment to building an inclusive and collaborative global battery ecosystem, while positioning IBS 2025 as a premier forum for promoting international partnerships and accelerating the transition toward a cleaner and more sustainable energy future.
